This site is dedicated to the six who lost their lives on the 8th of June 1982 during the Falkland War.
We have an aim to ensure that their story is not forgotten as it is one that I would hope people would want to know about as the six who were lost on the 8th of June in 1982 have no grave and their vessel Foxtrot 4 has never to this day been found so there is no war grave and that is hard for families, friends and colleagues alike to deal with. There are still efforts to plot where she could be but, she was still afloat when she was cut free after an attempted tow failed. The nature of a landing craft is such that she has many water tight compartments so there is a possibility she could have stayed afloat for days and flosted out into the South Atlantic and will never be found. Though we have to hope this was not the case and they soon have a war grave.
The fact that Foxtrot 4 was to be the last British vessel sunk is an important one as it heralded in the end of the Conflict.
