It had been planned on Sunday the 8th of June 2025 to dedicate a new memorial at the Commando Monument Memorial Garden. The monument would have included a memorial stone with two plaques the first a cast metal plaque with an image of F4 and text including the names of those lost in 1982 and a second with images of the six with their names below. Due to certain people making unwelcome comments and family members of those who died choosing to not engage we can no longer go ahead with the memorial which has hurt many who wanted them remembered with such a dedication.
